Registration

To Register on a mobile device, tap on the hamburger menu icon 

Then tap on the "Register" button to load the form. (Click to see form)

ON A PC/LAPTOP

Click on "Register" found at the top right of the webpage which will load the Registration form

The form can be filled out in two ways.

1. Using Social Login (Facebook or Google)

2. manually entering the details in the respective fields
(A confirmation email will be sent, please see Junk email)

Registration is complete.

To log into the website, simply click "Login" and a pop up (Modal) form will be displayed.

If you have registered using social login, then please use the social account to login (Facebook or Google), else enter your email and password and click the "Login" button.

Control Panel


Profile

To view your profile:
PC/Laptop: click on your username at the top left of the window, and click on Profile.
Mobile device: Tap on the hamburger menu and click on Profile.

The profile area displays the user's Profile widget (Username, profile picture, online status, biography, social links, and email), members following, followed by members and the user's posted articles. The profile widget can be changed in the settings area.


Reading List

The reading list allows users to save articles under their profile so that they can save, read or refer to them at a later time.

PC/Laptop: click on your username at the top left of the window, and click on Reading List.
Mobile device: Tap on the hamburger menu and click on Reading List.

To add articles to your reading list click on the star in a square icon to save the article to your reading list.

When an article is saved, the grey star icon becomes green as in the image below

When the user goes to the reading list, all saved articles will be there


Settings

To view settings:
PC/Laptop: click on your username at the top left of the window, and click on Settings.
Mobile device: Tap on the hamburger menu and click on Settings.


Settings/Update Profile

On the profile page, you can change

  • Profile picture - display picture that is publically visible
    • Click on "Select Image"
    • browse to your image
    • Click on "open"
    • Click "Save Changes" to update the profile

  • Email - This is the email Vaisnava blog uses to reset your passwords and users to contact you on

  • Slug - please DO NOT CHANGE this, as this is the link to your profile set by the system. If changed, any posts you have published on external sites will be broken.

  • About me - This is your biography


    Settings/Social Accounts

    The social accounts page allows the user to add social links to their Profile Widget.
    Enter the full web address plus social account username.

    Example: social account for the Facebook user who has a username facebook_user will have the (1) web address (http://facebook.com/) plus Facebook (2) username as follows:

    http://facebook.com/facebook_user


    Settings/Preferences

    Here you can either make your email publicly visible or hidden.

    RSS feeds for the articles that the user has posted, can either be made available or disabled.


    Settings/Visual Settings

    Visual settings allow the user to change the accent colours of the site for that user only, as well as change the theme (Dark (normal) or light (White theme))


    How to enable/disable night mode

    Only registered users can change night and light modes.

    At the top right of your screen, click on your "Profile Name" and click "Settings" in the dropdown list.

    In the "Settings" page, click on "Visual Settings" found on the left pane.

    Then under "Dark Mode" select either Enable (Night mode on) or Disable (Night mode off) and click "Save Changes"


    Settings/Change Password

    If the user would like to change their old password, they can do so under this menu
